In a year of cancellations and postponments, the Inter Livery Charity Clay Shoot finally took place on 9 September at the Holland & Holland Shooting Grounds. Organisers Chris Par (Environmental Cleaners) and Richard Ferrand (Grocers) did magnificently to satisfy all the new requirements of C19. The Gunmakers’ Company, despite being restricted to only four teams, managed to uphold their honour. The Court team retained the Horners’ Trophy. They were also the top team overall, but new rules meant that they could only take home one cup and so the Ritson was passed to the Mercers this time. Liveryman Mark O’Dowd top scored for the winning side by side team and all four teams finished in the top ten. See … here … for the overall scores. Winnings by Gunmakers’ teams were generously donated to the Gunmakers’ Company Charitable Trust.
