The Worshipful Company of Gunmakers was incorporated by Royal Charter in 1637 to promote and regulate gunmaking, a role it still fulfils today.
Governed by the Master, Wardens and Court of Assistants. Activities encompass four broad areas of operation: Regulatory, Charitable, Social and Civic.

Gunmakers’ golfing umbrella
 
Gunmakers now have a very smart, stylish and good quality umbrella to be seen out with. Made in the UK by James Ince & Sons, it features a superior polyester canopy in navy blue and is branded with the GP mark on four panels. It has a classic straight chestnut handle.

Gunmakers’ Ladies silk scarf

This unique ladies silk scarf, launched in 2018, by the first female Master of the Company, Diana Berry. It features a design by Gordon Robertson  which includes the GP mark in the centre and individual gunmakers marks as found on the strike plate in the Proof House. Scarves are printed on 18oz twill and measures 90cm by 90cm. A presentation box is included.

Shipton & Heneage are producing GP marked slippers hand made to order. Available in black, wine, navy, bottle green, brown, red or regal, with binding to match or to your taste. The satin quilt lining is in black, red, blue, wine or gold. Sizes are:  Gentlemen: 5-14 including half sizes, Ladies: 2-9 including half sizes.

A History of the Gunmakers
 
A History of the Worshipful Company of Gunmakers from its earliest days, edited by Hon Archivist Derek Stimpson from the original research by Past Master David Black, with notes by Col David Munn. In hard copy A4, the cost of publishing was generously underwritten by Past Master Emeritus David Caldow.
